What We Do
Single Pane Repairs
Whether it is a plain piece of glass at the bottom of a window or a painted piece up in the traceries, Ark can help.
We can either identify the glass from a photograph or come to site to view the damage before undertaking the work on site. Painted broken pane are removed and a clear piece put in its place whilst the new piece is painted back at our studio.
We work hard to identify a match for the glass and the paint used for a seamless repair.
Surveys & Condition Reports
Should you want a general survey on one window or an in-depth condition report on all the windows in the property, we can talk you through what you need.
Ark will attend site and with an expert eye identify any issues with the windows and recommend any further action required. A full report with photographic evidence will be written up and presented to you to help you understand how to move forward.

From a square leaded light to a figurative panel, Ark Stained Glass’ inhouse design studio can work with you to get the desired look you want.
You can as be involved in the development as you want, from start to finish. Designs are never taken to next stage without your agreement and glass choices will be discussed and agreed before work begins. Ark will come out and measure up for the new panel and create templates where necessary.
Restoration
When the time comes where the lead starts to give way or severe damage means we can not do the work on site, Ark will return the panels to the studio.
At the studio rubbing are made which are annotated with all the information needed to reproduce the panels, including lead sizes and glass types. The original glass is salvaged, cleaned and put back into the newly leaded panels, before they are made watertight and returned to site.
Steel Casements
Ark Stained Glass have the ability to take away your weathered steel casements and restore them to their original beauty.
We will get them sandblasted, repair any metal work, and get them powder coated in a colour agreed with you. Any missing furniture will be replaced, and we will make sure everything is working as it should be before reinstating them.
