The East Window was vandalised earlier in the year, damaging one of three angels in the tracery.

Due to the severity of the damage there was no way to preserve the original glass of the face and shield. There were also clean breaks in the wings and robes which we were able to repair.

The face and shield however had to be repainted and there were no records of the glass before the damage. The painter therefore had to use the images of the other two angels to replicate the third angel.

At the same time the inscriptions at the bottom of the window were taken out and the black paint put back where is had come away.
