The 94-year-old Regent Palace Hotel has been redeveloped as part of the Crown Estate’s plans to create a new identity for Regent Street.

The hotel was a Grade II listed building, largely because of the quality of its art deco interiors. Half of the historic facades have been retained, while four glamorous 1930s entertainment venues are being completely restored. Ark Ltd. was chosen to recreate the stunning Art Deco interior of ‘Chez Cup’ utilising stained glass set into mirror polished stainless steel doors.

Main Contractor: Sir Robert McAlpine

Designer for the interior: Donald Insall Associates
