We are open

It has been and still is a strange time for everyone. We have managed to work through the lockdown with a reduced staff and with all health and safety protocols in place. Now we are all back in the studios, working hard and able to update you on some projects we completed before the lockdown.

Take a look at our portfolio to see a private residential job and a new stained glass window for Wolverhampton’s Grammar school.

Westminster Abbey

We have updated our portfolio with our involvement in the new Weston Tower at Westminster Abbey. This was a huge project of 559 steel casements and leaded panels.

Ptolemy Dean Architects were commissioned in 2013 to design a new tower at Westminster Abbey.

Our Newest entry into our portfolio is one of great importance.

Part of our entry in the Stevens Completion in 2016 by the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and managed by the British Titanic Society, our window was chosen to memorialise the deaths of the 687 member of crew from the RMS Titanic.

Take a look in our gallery for more information and plenty of photos:

New Project added to our Portfolio

Ark Stained Glass have been working on this project since February 2016, but finally installed it last week and are ready to share it with you all as part of our extensive portfolio. Something a little different as we tend to stay away from adding colour to the glass using enamels, but for this project it was the perfect medium.

Bronze Mini Opener

We get some strange requests in this line of work, and being asked to vent a quarry window is not as unusual as you may think. However, this is the first time we have been asked to add a mini opener into a quarry window.

Now these are not the sort of thing you can buy off the shelf or order online. Our clever little elf at the Hereford Studio created and built in this little bronze mini opener with a cast stay and a copper hood.

We love these little quirks and I’m sure this will not be the last of the unusual requests.
